WHY WE DO IT?
We started in Banking in 2004, since then the sector has changed immensely due to regulation, changing customer habits, digitalisation and cost management.
In Business Banking, the major change over the last 5 years is the reduction in numbers of ‘relationship managers’ and the removal of autonomy for relationship managers (the few that are left) who must report to a ‘credit team’ to make a decision.
This is why we have made the leap to launch TCF, with access to over 200 different lenders and over 20 years of business and corporate banking expertise, you can have comfort that you’re going to get the right advice and the right deal for you and your business.

MEET THE DIRECTOR
I started in Banking back in 2004 on the counter at Paragon Street Branch, Kingston Upon Hull for Barclays, progressing into personal banking and then into start up business.
This put me in good stead for the rest of my Banking career, acquiring the people skills and understanding the clearing Bank processes. In 2010, I moved across to Barclays Corporate as a support manager, dealing with a range of local and national businesses and undertaking my ‘Banking Exams’ (PcertB).
From here, I moved across into a relationship manager role, assisting a portfolio of 100 customers with different requirements from asset finance to unsecured debt. Following this, I then managed a team of 12 business managers in Yorkshire for 3 years before moving across to Handelsbanken in 2019.
At Handelsbanken, I was a corporate relationship manager and deputy Branch Manager, looking after a portfolio of predominantly property investors/developers in both commercial and residential property. With a lending discretion of £2.1m I was able to support customers with a range of different finance structures.
Now in 2024, after looking after business owners, I decided to become a business owner and set up TCF. With a career spanning over 20 years from personal banking, start-up to corporate, I now have the knowledge to cover whole of market and become a trusted advisor for your business.
